It’s hard to believe that Generis Collective turns 10 years old this year. There have been ups and downs, lessons learned, and many exciting accomplishments and milestones along the way. Running a company is far from easy, but with the right team and aligned partners, you can build something great. THANK YOU to everyone that has been on this journey!

Over the past 10 years, so much of the guest/user/customer experience has evolved. When we first started Generis, most retail clients were grappling with a sizeable shift to online shopping, AI was reserved for your Amazon Echo, and VR was a free cardboard headset by Google. Now almost every in-person retail, hospitality, or entertainment experience is immersive and integrates technology & design to create a compelling and emotional experience.

In year five, the pandemic changed everything. Finding efficiencies and streamlining the guest experience became top priority. Then came pandemic-proofing with open-air spaces, and QR code menus. Next, health & wellness took a front seat as shopping, travel and dining out slowed. Now, as we look ahead, we see the lines blurring between entertainment, retail, wellness and more.

At Generis Collective, the future is full of possibility. We are seeing creative upstart brands rolling out compelling retail experiences. There are multitudes of unique immersive entertainment destinations. And the wellness lifestyle is here to stay.

We will continue to collaborate with our strong collective network – designers, architects, fabricators, engineers and contractors. These are the talented people that make our work exciting and help turn our clients’ visions into reality. And we will keep aligning with exciting brands that are bringing unique retail, entertainment and wellness experiences to life. We are only as strong as the sum of our parts.
